The best way of ensuring peace in our world is through friendship and education
Dear Irish friends of Bethlehem University,
I write to request your help for the great work of Bethlehem University in the Holy Land. The university is a beacon of hope, providing top level higher education for young Palestinian students of all faiths, in a country striven by sectarian divisions and political oppression. It greatly needs our help.
This year our Appeal is directed to support the University’s programme of support for its Students with Disabilities during COVID-19 which was reported in the recent Bethlehem University Magazine by Brother Belayneh Medhanit.
It is already clearly evident that the withdrawal by the U.S. administration of their funding for Palestine is having a devastating impact on the lives of the Palestinian people. This Christmas Appeal is of particular importance in assisting Bethlehem University in its mission of providing invaluable community building educational activities.
Our work is entirely voluntary so that your donation will go 100% to support Bethlehem University.
Please contribute as generously as you can to this special Christmas Appeal. We will keep you informed on what precisely your donation was used for.
As a registered charity, the FBUI may claim tax relief on donations of €250.00 and over.
Donations may be made to our bank account:
